Marta do Vale Faria, LLB, AKC, is a lawyer registered with the Portuguese Bar Association.
Having been awarded an LLB Hons by King’s College London in 2013 with a 2:1, she relocated to Portugal in 2016 where she undertook the full Bar Training and subsequently registered with the Portuguese Bar Association.
Marta has vast experience in Public Procurement and, Commercial Law, Company Law and Corporate Governance, Employment Law and GDPR matters and Policy drafting, contract negotiation and drafting, and IP and copyright matters, having acted as in-house lawyer for a Group IT/Tech Companies with international reach.
Moreover, she is also extremely well versed in Private Client matters, having helped many clients relocate to Portugal, incorporate companies or susbidiary companies/representation offices for said clients, and manage their affairs in Portugal – namely immigration related matters, including family reunion, nationality, non-habitual residence, but also obtaing a TIN and registering as NHR, opening bank accounts, registering with NHS and other public enthities, and finding accomodation to rent or purchase. In a nutshell representing the client before Portuguese authorities and helping them settle while handling their legal affairs regarding their new life in Portugal, their comapanies and investment interests.
Her sports law practive enables her to work in various related matters, sports people employement contracts, contract negotiation and drafting in transfer contracts, advice to athletes and sporting entities on representation contracts, image rights and IP.
Marta’s experience in litigation is broad and covers contratual and non-contractual liability, commercial law, contract law, tort law, property law, public and administrative law, IP and copyright and sports law, both before judicial courts and arbitral tribunals. Marta brings to international clients a perfect mix of common law knowledge, mental agility and business accumen and Portuguese Law (civil law) knowledge, experience and mindset.

LICENSED FIFA FOOTBALL AGENT – 2023 – present
Marta do Vale Faria sucessfully sat the 1st FIFA Football Agent exam, under the new FIFA Football Agent Regulations, in April 2023, and is licensed by FIFA as a Football Agent with licence ID 11VVJ83.
