Matheus holds a LL.M. Summa Cum Laude from the Frankfurt Goethe University, where he is also pursuing his Ph.D. He is qualified in Brazil and has experience in international business as in-house counsel and member of law firms. He advises clients in many different cross border transactions, both from the legal and business standpoints, particularly in transactions involving Germany and Brazil. He has vast experience in international contracts and dispute resolution. Matheus has worked in a number of international and domestic arbitration and litigation cases, in both countries.
Matheus has extensive experience in International Arbitration and International Business Law, Contracts and Trade Law, including in planning and incorporation of offshore companies, as well as draft and preparation of cross border deals.
He has worked for several Brazilian and European clients in international disputes related to post M&A transactions, corporate law, compliance, anti-trust, competition, international trade, and WTO disputes. He has drafted and negotiated a vast amount of international contracts worldwide.
Matheus was National Representative of IBA (International Bar Association, UK) Student Members Committee.
Because he has practiced for important Brazilian and German law firms, as well as in-house in major transnational corporations, Matheus combines a solid academic background with a vast experience.
