Kathryn (Lee) Boyd is an American lawyer and educator who has practiced and taught international law for over 25 years, both as a law faculty member of Pepperdine Law School and as an advocate in several landmark international human rights and commercial litigation and arbitration matters.
She is a graduate of the Harvard Law School with honors and qualified in New York, Virginia and California where she maintains offices.
Lee is an authority in international human rights, having taught, published, and practiced in the field for 25 years. Lee melds an academic approach with practical litigation skills to offer clients “top shelf” representation when the stakes are high.
Lee is experienced in complex commercial litigation and arbitration, foreign sovereign immunity, cross-border disputes, foreign domestic and investment property restitution, and enforcement of foreign judgments and arbitral awards.
Among other matters, Lee has successfully represented a global entertainment and sports company against a FTSE 100 online gaming company in arbitration; successfully represented U.S. terrorism victims in international litigation and arbitration as well as enforcement of judgment against Iran; and successfully represented investors worldwide international arbitrations. She is currently representing investors in Bilateral Investment Treaty arbitrations. She speaks proficient Spanish and conversational French.
Lee Boyd is a graduate of Harvard University Law School (J.D., cum laude) and the University of Virginia (B.A., with highest honors).
